Burning Engines and Weaponries
Crossout takes inspiration from classic vehicular combat games such as Twisted Metal and Carmageddon 2. They improved the classic formula by adding Massive Multi Online action elements. Players start with a basic vehicle and as they progress through the game, they can craft and equip their vehicles with better parts like guns and armor. They can create custom buggies, off-road vehicles, tank-like cars, massive trucks and even hovercrafts with anti-gravity fields. Their vehicles must be capable of withstanding challenges. They will traverse different kinds of terrains, as well as encounter attacks from enemy A.I or players. They have to participate in various battles in order to gather additional parts. There are PvE missions for defeating A.I. enemies and PvP combat for challenging other players. The parts are collectible and interchangeable to fit with every playstyle. Weapons range from conventional arsenals like machine guns and rockets to outlandish and dangerous arms like chainsaws, plasma guns, drones, and generators. Any unwanted parts are sellable to the in-game marketplace for extra profit. Players can also trade their extra parts with each other. This vehicular combat game features Advanced damage model. When players consistently target an enemy vehicle part, it will drastically affect the enemy’s performance. This is important in tight situations when dueling against stronger enemies. There are also available factions to join in: The basic Engineers, The glass-cannon Lunatics, The high-speed Nomads, The offense-oriented Scavengers, The long-ranged Steppenwolfs, The technological Dawn's Children and The occult Firestarters. Each faction has perks and advantages like long-range combat, extra firepower, and maneuverability.
